In this section I will be pointing out fun facts on the benefits of water versus the scary facts of drinking coke. Not only will these facts on coke make you think twice about your diet, it may even scare you straight and hopefully make you think before consuming soda.

First, I will begin giving simple statements about water that might be able to help you understand the importance of water. Over 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. This does not mean that 3/4s of the population are on the verge of passing out, it means that most people’s bodies are not getting adequate amounts of water necessary for healthy function. This dehydration can lower ones metabolism up to 30%. Not only can this lack of water hurt your metabolism but it is the number one factor for daytime fatigue. Drinking 5 glasses of water a day can actually lower your risk of colon cancer by 45% and can even cut the risk of breast cancer by 79%. So if you are slacking in your water consumption, now would be a great time to start drinking H20.

Now that I have discussed some fact about water, I want to share some fun (scary) facts about all of you that like to consume coke. An experiment was done to test the dissolving abilities of coke. A T-bone steak was placed in a bowl of coke and the entire thing was gone in 2 days. Another fun fact that may help you understand its acidic features is the cleaning of chrome on cars. It’s been tested many times that aluminum foil dipped in coke can erase rust spots and hard to clean bug stains on the bumpers of cars. There are many other uses for coke that are all better options than consuming it. Do you want this liquid in your body?

The point of this blog is to hopefully make everyone realize that even though you may be consuming a beverage, that beverage is not satisfying the ‘thirst” your body is craving. Get your body out of the dehydration state and start looking and feeling healthier.
